An online marketer who goes by the name of ‘Edward Powers’ is targeting people who have lost money on business opportunity programs.

scam

People being targeted by this scheme are former clients of investing platforms including FX Solutions, ClicksDealer, ClicksValley, Clickbooth, Bannerbit, IQ Option, 24Option, Click2Sell and EmpireOption. It is being reported that ‘Edward Powers’ managed to obtain access to the emails of some clients who lost money on the platforms.

‘Edward Powers’ presents himself as an investigator but the reality is he is a scammer. He first claims he will help his clients for free, then after 30 or 45 days of his ‘investigation’ he will demand payment of $10,000 or more just to keep the investigation live. He accepts payment to his Western Union account in the name of ‘Clayton Peter Kaizer’ south africa. After receiving the funds he just disappears.

To attract clients in the first place he is producing fake images and fake payrolls that supposedly come from the companies. He is also giving out false and inaccurate information about offices and employees of the companies.

Do not fall for his scam! There is no real ‘Edward Powers’. If you are approached by him and consider using his ‘investigation services’, request a copy of his passport and a selfie, and ask him to share his LinkedIn, Facebook or other social media profiles. Do NOT send him any money because you probably won’t see it again and he won’t be able to recover your funds. He is only interested in collecting ‘investigation fees’ from you.

Thanks for reading, please share this info with anyone you know who might be targeted by this fraud.
