After almost 4 years of living in hotels, The Dowe's are now new residents of "The Spence House" In Alpharetta, Georgia.

Hady Lopez de Dowe and Shawn J Dowe moved from Riverside Ca with their 2 children in mid 2022 to live with a fiancé of Shawn's younger brother but ended up displaced, living from hotel to hotel in Georgia until finally settling at the Home2Suites by Hilton in Alpharetta where their online business Ace Hair Extensions & Co thrived, and their relationships with other members from their church, The Alpharetta Methodist Church flourished.

Background: Jack Peevy, a quiet and generous US Military Veteran, made a donation to the Alpharetta Historical Society, which was his home, a pre-Civil War home that was occupied by his family at the corner of what is now Mayfield Road and Bethany Road.

Jack' sole motivation was to preserve the house and the history it represents where he once played as a child.  His grandparents, Bascom and Oma Spence, bought the 1840s farmhouse in 1918. The home has had additions; the most recent was in 2006 after a terrible fire.

"It's so crazy how God works sometimes. A man makes history by donating a home that's dear to his heart. Jim Spruell, an Alpharetta resident and our beloved friend, helps us get into that home where we can now make new memories, but most importantly, we feel alive and whole again. Never ever lose hope. With God All Things Are Possible" says Shawn and Hady.

Their daughter Mia and son Matthew are adjusting well and are enjoying their new yard and new house.

Thanks to Jack, the good folks at Berkshire Hathaway, the Alpharetta Historical Society, Shack Lewis and especially James "Jim" Andrew Spruell, this was all made possible.
